ICT tools for Cultural Heritage

Digital technologies are reshaping how people discover, understand, and care for cultural heritage. At the UNESCO Chair in ICT to develop and promote sustainable tourism in World Heritage Sites (USI), we design and study tools that turn curiosity into learning and stewardship—supporting communities while improving visitor experiences.

The projects featured below show different ways ICT can make heritage engaging and responsible. Together, these ICT tools demonstrate how thoughtful digital design, co-created with stakeholders and anchored in local contexts, can strengthen heritage communication and foster more sustainable forms of tourism.
