In early November, Dr. Engelbert Ruoss participated at the event of the 10 years anniversary of the Association “World Heritage Experience Switzerland” at the World Nature Forum in Naters/VS. He presented to the site mangers the tasks of the World Heritage platform in Switzerland between 2002 and 2006. In his keynote, he also discussed the current research work of the UNESCO Chair at USI and the today’s challenges of heritage tourism such as social media impacts, the 3-dimensional governance and management approach, the WH impact assessment methods and the “heritage stewardship destination” strategies.
